BGI champions youth-driven ocean and coastal protection through cleanups, habitat restoration, and real environmental solutions. We encourage young leaders to protect marine ecosystems, cultivate environmental responsibility, and defend the shorelines that sustain life.

At The Blue Goal Initiative, we believe that protecting the ocean begins with experiencing it.
Our Surf & Conservation Activities combine the joy of surfing with hands-on environmental education, empowering youth to become guardians of our coastlines.
Through surfing, participants connect deeply with the sea, learning balance, respect, and awareness of the ecosystems that sustain them. Alongside these lessons, our conservation activities teach practical skills, including beach cleanups, water-quality testing, and monitoring marine biodiversity.
Each Activity is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and nurture a sense of belonging to something greater than ourselves: the ocean.

Marine Conservation Workshops — guided by environmental scientists and local organizations.

Partnerships for Impact — collaborating with organizations like The Coastal Alliance to co-create meaningful initiatives, hands-on activities, and high-impact actions that expand our reach and deepen our shared commitment to ocean and coastal protection.

At BGI Ocean Preservation, we are committed to safeguarding the world’s oceans, coastlines, and marine ecosystems through youth-led action, community engagement, and real, measurable environmental solutions.
Our ocean is the planet’s life support system — regulating climate, providing food, and sustaining biodiversity. Yet, it is also one of the most vulnerable. Pollution, habitat destruction, overfishing, and climate-driven changes threaten its balance every day. BGI believes that young people hold the key to reversing this trajectory.

Arshayan leads and facilitates the TREEAMS program at Brentwood School, a student-led movement to reforest and restore our community after the Los Angeles fires.
TREEAMS promotes reforestation, climate awareness, and hands-on environmental stewardship. On Earth Day, April 22nd, 2026, students from Brentwood and partner schools will join other LA schools in tree-planting at Will Rogers, habitat restoration, and community actions that demonstrate their commitment to protecting the planet.
