Arshayan Takes The Voice of Youth to the Santa Monica City Council

On Wednesday, October 15th, following the recent rainstorm that hit the coast, The Blue Goal Initiative was invited to speak at the Santa Monica City Council meeting in collaboration with the Coastal Alliance.

Representing the organization, Arshayan addressed local leaders to highlight the importance of protecting our beaches and supporting youth-driven environmental action. His message focused on how communities can transform climate challenges into opportunities for restoration and collaboration.

Earlier that day, members of The Blue Goal Initiative gathered outside Santa Monica City Hall to raise awareness with creative signs, surfboards, and art — all calling for cleaner beaches and a healthier ocean. The energy and commitment of the youth stood out, showing that change truly begins at a local level.

This meeting marked another step in our ongoing partnership with Coastal Alliance, reinforcing our shared mission to protect the coastline, empower young voices, and inspire responsible action after severe weather events.
